3-Phase Diode BridgeApplied Power Systems (APS) just built this 3-Phase Diode Bridge to meet the High-Power Rectification requirements of a diesel powered generator used in a traction motor application. Model # APE6D7 provides up to 1500 Amps DC output (max continuous) at 3,300 VDC. The unit has been ruggedized to withstand high shock and vibration. The customer integrates their own field-replaceable fan assembly to provide airflow to match the dimensions of our insulated frame, which directs airflow evenly across all heatsink surfaces for optimal thermal management.

APS supplied (2) 100-6758 air cooled, 3200A, 3 phase rectifiers to provide the 850VDC bus required by the VFD motor drives. We also provided (2) IAP2KD17 dynamic brake choppers to limit the DC bus voltage during the descent of the drawwork motor. The rectifier and brake choppers are standard APS products.
