Applied Power Systems, Inc. has been a power electronics engineering and manufacturing company specializing in power conversion systems and thermal management of high power semiconductors since 1996.

APS applies unique, high technology solutions in the design and manufacture of a broad array of power control systems, ranging from high power AC and DC Power Supplies to Driver Circuits for IGBT, SCR, MOSFET devices and power blocks. Our products include board level products such as drivers for IGBTs, MOSFETs and SCRs as well as fiber-optic interfaces, high voltage drivers for IGBTs and SCRs, etc. Our Power Stage products include Solid State Switches for AC and DC applications, IGBT, SCR, rectifier assemblies, bridges, Power Converters, Inverters. Our System Level products include power supplies and Uninterruptible Power Supplies for on-board Rail Applications, for Hi-temperature and Low-temperature Cryogenic magnets, Hi-voltage Modulators, Frequency Changers, Motor Drives and a host of specialized supplies and inverter systems.

The application of power electronics has been with us for over a hundred years. With the advent of the integrated circuit, micro-miniaturization, digital electronics and the computer, power electronics has been placed on a back burner. Today there is a growing need to revisit and modernize the techniques of removing many kilowatts of heat generated by high power, large area semiconductors. APS offers one of the largest selections of high power thermal management products in the industry. The products include standard and custom aluminum extrusion heat sinks for natural convection and forced air-cooling. Cast and machined copper chill plates for liquid cooling. State of the art clamps for flat pack or hockey puck semiconductors. APS offers a wide selection of driver circuit boards to drive SCR, IGBT and MOSFET devices. We also offer standard and custom power stages called the ICEPAC™ and SixPac™ Inverter that integrate IGBTs, DC link capacitors, laminated bus, driver and protection circuits in a single, compact unit.
